Discussion with Martin & Rasto

Last night, after the youth leadership meeting, I had the privilege & joy of discussing the issue of Christian conscience & freedom with the two guys in the photo - Rasto (pronounced Raws-tyo) and Martin.

We talked, disagreed, agreed, shook our heads, nodded our heads, interrupted, waited patiently and more of the things typical of a good, jaw-tiring Bible discussion.

In the end, we prayed together, and that was the sweetest part. We agreed to pray further on the matter and seek Christ’s face & desire. The result? Unity - in spite of diversity.

God is good, isn’t He? Diversity is foundational to a healthy body of Christ. Everyone serving as HE leads. Everyone following HIM. Everyone obeying HIS COMMANDS. The result? Unity, growth, glory to God and new believers in the Kingdom!

Please pray for me as I continue to disciple & be discipled here in Europe! Thanks.

What it's all about!

This past weekend, Linda, Nathan & I went to Berlin, Germany, for the Greater Europe Mission Field Leaders’ Conference. What a great time of fellowship with men & women who are re-capturing the desire & urgency to win Europe to Christ!

Greater Europe Mission has re-tooled it’s vision & mission statements. In case you’re interested, here they are:

Vision: God expanding His Kingdom through all people of Europe to the world
Mission: Disciple all peoples of Europe through rapidly reproducing churches

What is exciting to me is the focus/emphasis on the word “disciple.” 12 1/2 years ago, Linda & I came to Europe with our 4 kids as a response to God’s calling & leading.

Why did God call us here? To make disciples who would make disciples who would make disciples! Just as in 1 Tim. 2:2, “...and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” I like to call this “D4.” 4 generations of disciples.

Please pray for us as we continue to “make disciples of all nations” (Slovakia, Georgia, Ireland, and more!)!

English Circle begins again!

English Circle kicked off 2009 with these four students present: Lenka, Ada, Eva and Miso. Please be praying for them (and us!) as we seek to build relationships with them to introduce Christ to them!
