Cracking the ice in a coffee shop

I’m sitting in a coffee shop in our little village of Podlavice (pronounced “Poh’d-law-vee-tsay). I came here in anticipation & hopes of meeting the owner/manager of the shop in order to gain a better perspective of the community in which we live and be available to be used of the Lord in His work and plans for the expansion of His Kingdom.

I had no idea what the Lord had in store! He’s not Slovak - he’s Yugoslav! His son & daughter-in-law run another shop (ice cream & coffee) on the Town Square under the Clock Tower (some of you may know the place of which I’m speaking). He has several other shops around the country, hotels, other buildings that he rents to various businesses (pharmacies, etc.) and works the shop in our village here because he lives here (upstairs from the shop) and because the business here is much slower than his other businesses, so - for him - it’s rest!

What a character. I’m praying for him. Please pray for him as well. Simply pray for him as the ”coffee shop owner“ and the Lord & I (not that you pray to me, but when you ask about him, I’ll know) will know about whom you’re asking!

I’ll be back for more coffee & ”kremesh“ -- and conversation!
