Lani - again & more

Lani is going to the vet again today for a follow-up visit. She’s put on weight and it isn’t obvious that she’s had such a hard start. Last night, she went to sleep (for now she sleeps in a doggie crate in our room so that we hear her at night for potty runs) at 11:30 p.m. and slept until 5:30 a.m. What a blessing!

She has a typical Lab appetite and runs, jumps, attacks, chews, and so much more. We are so thankful for her improvement.

I’m exhausted - again - from a long week last week taking care of Lani and then leaving for a youth retreat on Friday. Late nights at the retreat (1:30 a.m. bedtime on Sat. night) and an early rise on Sunday (5:30) in order to get to church to lead the Lord’s Supper. It turned out to be a good thing that I was returning to do the Lord’s Supper because one of the other elders is sick and was supposed to lead the worship service. So, now I have everything in the worship service except for the message.

After church, I ate lunch at home, checked emails and jumped into my car to pick 2 of our elders to go visit a church that we established as a preaching station years ago. Got back from that meeting at 7:00 p.m. and visited with Matt Kingsley, who is the director of the GEM-K ministry (a youth ministry focused on the youth of the missionaries in Greater Europe Mission) and came to visit Hannah & Nathan and then attend the GEM-YM (youth ministries) retreat from Wed - Sun in Vienna, Austria.

They (Matt, Hannah, Nathan & Michelle) went snowboarding at Donovaly, so I’m trying to rest up a little and get ready for some meetings in Budapest tomorrow & Wednesday and then on to Vienna for the GEM-YM retreat.
